Registered Clinical Counsellor

Amy is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Master of Counselling degree and has over 10 years of experience providing counselling to children, teens, families and adults. She uses trauma-informed evidence-based modalities that focus on the brain-body connection, or “how our bodies speak to us.” She has post-graduate training in cognitive behavioural, narrative, somatic, focusing, and family systems therapies. Her specialities include anxiety and oppositional behaviours in children, PTSD/C-PTSD, chronic pain, severe depression, suicide/self-harm, and recovery from abuse.

Amy enjoys bringing a social justice lens to the complex challenges that come up in counselling, and empowering clients to be the architects of their own lives. She is excited to bring her passion for her work to SNPC.
