Effective May 19th, 2020, the Surrey Neuroplasticity Clinic has re-opened the doors for in-person visits.

May 19, 2020

We’re back!

We are pleased to announce that we have re-opened our doors at the Surrey Neuroplasticity Clinic for in-person visits, effective Tuesday May 19, 2020.

We are doing everything we can to keep you safe and give you peace of mind when you enter our clinic.

What’s changed?

We’re maintaining our regular clinic hours. However, we are reducing the number of people in the clinic throughout the day. We have divided our clinical team, with half available for in-person sessions and the other half continuing to offer virtual sessions for now. If you would like to book a session with a particular clinician, please contact us to confirm availability.

We have implemented stringent cleaning and sanitization protocols, including diligently sanitizing all equipment, treatment tables, doorknobs and light switches between sessions.

All chairs have been distanced, plexiglass shields (sneeze guards)  have been installed at front desks, and visual markers have been placed on the floor to make physical distancing as easy as possible for you with everyone (except your therapist).

All shared utensils and plates have been removed from our communal kitchen for the time being. If you have multiple sessions booked in one day, please bring your own dishes and cutlery. The microwave and fridge will still be available for client us, and wiped down regularly.

We will no longer be serving coffee, tea, or snacks to clients for the time being. There are a few coffee shops and cafes in the neighborhood that are open for take-out service. We are happy to make recommendations!

If any Surrey Neuroplasticity Clinic team members are showing any signs of illness, they will not come to the clinic for their shifts. You will be notified as soon as possible if your appointment needs to be cancelled, and your treatment will be rescheduled to the earliest available date.

Before you arrive…

We will contact you by phone the day before your appointment to give you some instructions and inquire about the status of your health. This pre-screening is very important to help us determine if you are eligible to come in for an in-person session. Please note, your session may be cancelled if we are unable to reach you by phone.

If you have recently returned from international travel, please ensure your session is booked after your mandatory isolation period is over.

Please plan to arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. We must limit the number of people in the reception area at one time. If you do arrive early, consider waiting outside or in your car if you’re comfortable and weather permits.

If you would like to come with a caregiver or loved one, that’s fine! Just let us know in advance so we can ensure we have made the appropriate accommodations. Your guest will also need to be screened over the phone and asked to sign in at reception. Please limit to 1 additional guest

Remember to pack a snack and bring your own water bottle.

If you are feeling ill, please do not come in. We are happy to help you re-schedule, or change your session to a virtual one. Our clinicians may deny in-person treatment to any client whom they believe may be exhibiting signs of COVID.

When you come in

Hand sanitizer, disposable masks, and gloves will be provided at the door. Hand sanitizer dispensers are available in each room.

Follow the markings on the floor to stand at an appropriate distance, and walk in a single direction through the clinic.

Your therapist will wear a surgical-grade disposable mask during your appointment. Masks will be provided and recommend for client use as well. You are also welcome to bring your own protective equipment.

Touchless payment is recommended, either by tap or using a credit card on file.

Please remember to wash or sanitize your hands on your way out.

Anything else?

Our cancellation policy is still in effect to ensure we can offer fellow clients an opportunity to book a session. However, exceptions may be made in case of extenuating circumstance. If you are unable to attend your session due to illness, or you are not comfortable coming in person, please let us know as soon as possible. You always have the option to book a virtual session instead.

In the meantime if you have not already done so, check out our latest free online classes.

If you have not already pre-booked your appointment, you may do so now by phone (604-424-8280) or email ([email protected]).
