The Surrey Neuroplasticity Clinic remains open for in-person and virtual sessions.

Last updated: January 12, 2022

We are still open for in-person and virtual sessions!

We are doing everything we can to keep you safe and give you peace of mind when you enter our clinic.

As the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved, we have adapted our digital health products and services to ensure the best for the health and safety of our staff and the communities that we serve.

What’s changed?

We continue to vigilantly monitor the second wave spread of COVID-19 and have been following guidance from the Canadian Public Health Agency, the BC Center for Disease Control, and the Fraser Health Authority.

All clinicians are available for in-person booking, and we are maintaining our regular clinic hours. It may feel a bit quieter in the clinic, as we have reduced the number of people present throughout the day. Those who are not in the clinic are working from home, continuing to offer virtual sessions and online classes. If you would like to book a session with a specific clinician, please contact us to confirm availability.

We continue to implement stringent cleaning and sanitization protocols, including diligently sanitizing treatment tables, all equipment, door handles and light switches between sessions.

All chairs have been distanced, plexiglass shields (sneeze guards) are in place at front desks, and visual markers have been placed on the floor to make physical distancing as easy as possible with everyone except your therapist.

All shared utensils and plates have been removed from our communal kitchen for the time being. If you have multiple sessions booked in one day, please bring your own dishes and cutlery. The microwave and fridge are still available for client use and are wiped down regularly.

We will no longer be serving coffee, tea, or snacks to clients. There are a few coffee shops and cafes in the neighborhood that are open for take-out service. We are happy to make recommendations!

Our team members are screened daily using a digital thermometer and COVID-19 self-assessment questions. If any Surrey Neuroplasticity Clinic team member experiences any signs of illness, they will not come to the clinic for their shifts. You will be notified as soon as possible, and your treatment will be rescheduled to the earliest available date.

Before you arrive…

We will contact you the day before your appointment to give you some instructions and enquire about the status of your health. This pre-screening is very important to help us determine if you are eligible to come in for an in-person session. Your session may be cancelled if we are unable to reach you.

If you are feeling ill, please do not come in. We are happy to help you re-schedule or change to a virtual session. Our clinicians may deny in-person treatment to any client whom they believe may be exhibiting signs of COVID-19.

If you have recently returned from international travel, please ensure your session is booked after your mandatory isolation period is over.

Please plan to arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. We must limit the number of people in the reception area at one time. If you do arrive early, consider waiting outside or in your car if you’re comfortable and weather permits. Avoid using the building lobby or hallways as waiting areas.

If you would like to come with a caregiver or loved one, that’s fine! Just let us know us in advance so we can ensure we have made the appropriate accommodations. Your guest will also need to be screened over the phone and asked to sign in at reception. Please limit to 1 additional guest.

Remember to pack a snack and bring your own water bottle.

When you come in…

Please note that face masks are now mandatory throughout the City Centre 1 facility, including in elevators, common areas, and within our clinic.

Hand sanitizer, disposable masks, and gloves will be provided at our clinic door. Hand sanitizer is also available in each room. Please sanitize your hands upon entry and exit.

We will take your temperature using a digital, touchless thermometer, and ask you a few standard COVID-19 screening questions.

Follow the markings on the floor to stand at an appropriate distance and walk in a single direction through the clinic.

Touchless payment is recommended if you have a credit card on file.

Please remember to wash or sanitize your hands on your way out.

Anything else?

Our cancellation policy is still in effect to ensure we can provide fellow clients with an opportunity to book a session, although exceptions may be made for COVID-19 safety concerns. If you are unable to attend due to illness or aren’t comfortable coming in, please let un know as soon as possible. You do have the option to book a Virtual Session instead.

If you have not already done so, check out our latest free online classes.
