Virtual Rehabilitation
The delivery of clinical services through secure online communication platforms.
We are pleased to offer virtual sessions in addition to our many in-person services. Virtual sessions are an alternative treatment option to meet your individual needs, no matter where you live.
Whenever possible, we recommend clients attend their sessions in person to receive the greatest quality of hands-on care to achieve maximal results. However, this is not always feasible during a pandemic, for clients who live farther away, and/or those who do not have access to convenient transportation options. At-home sessions are a great alternative to continue optimizing your brain health.
About Virtual Sessions
Virtual sessions, or “telerehabilitation”, includes the delivery of clinical services (assessments or treatments) through online communication platforms. These sessions are becoming increasingly popular for easier connection to a neurophysiotherapist, occupational therapist, or kinesiologist.

What to Expect from a Virtual Session
Virtual sessions can be booked by telephone or email. Once you register as a client, you will receive an email with a link to log-on and start your session. No special equipment or software is required. All you need to get started is a computer, tablet, or mobile phone with a working camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection. We use free, user-friendly platforms that allow our clients to meet their therapist virtually face-to-face, to perform assessments, discuss symptoms and challenges, practice exercises, and progress their programs from the comfort of their own homes.
Our therapists ensure exercises are being performed safely and are modified to challenge our clients appropriately, and they can send reminders and videos to demonstrate specific exercises directly to a client’s computer or smartphone. This can help to ensure consistent completion of a home exercise program, which is critical to achieving the best possible outcomes. Your therapist will have your phone number on file in order to reach you in the event that you are disconnected. Should any technical issues persist and prevent you from carrying out your session as planned, we will work with you to reschedule your virtual care session as soon as possible. If at any time during the session either you or your clinician feel that using electronic communications is limiting the effectiveness or quality of the services provided, we will look to schedule an in-person appointment as soon as possible.
Telerehabilitation is covered by many insurance plans. Please reach out to your provider to inquire about your coverage.
